Tracey's bio


Tracey is a Consultant Solicitor and sits as a Deputy District Judge.


She has over 20 years’ experience in advising on and resolving personal and commercial disputes. She has experience of resolving disputes in the High Court and County Court including the new specialist Business and Property Court and also in the Property Chamber Tribunal.


She has a particular expertise in property disputes and regularly advises on adverse possession claims, boundary disputes, right of way issues, trusts of land claims, landlord and tenant disputes and professional negligence claims with a property element.


Tracey is a member of the Law Society, “Women in Property”, the Agricultural Law Association and the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association.


One of Tracey’s key strengths is her client focused approach and her ability to grasp the important legal issues, but at the same time adopt a sensible and commercial approach to resolving them. Tracey advocates using mediation and alternatives to court where appropriate but will litigate promptly and vigorously where it is in her client’s best interests.


Tracey is recommended in the 2016 and 2017 edition of the Legal 500 UK Guide.


Recent Experience:


Successful application to the Land Registry for adverse possession of a cottage in Wales;


Successful opposition to a claim for adverse possession of garden land in London;


Successful trial in the County Court on a boundary dispute. The Judge deciding that the boundary was in the position as argued for by our clients;


Successful application to register a right of way before the Property Chamber First Tier Land Registration Tribunal.


Advising on a professional negligence claim against surveyors and solicitors regarding the future development of a piece of land.
